I really miss when I started my first deviantArt account many years ago, about 2005. I remember I drew and submitted about 4-5 artworks per day. I made new friends there and I enjoy the comments I had been given. A year later, I meet my best friends on DA. I really admired their artworks and comics so that I created a couple doujins or fan-comics of their stories and characters.

Those are my artworks since many years ago. You can see my old an little watermark. ^^ |
It was a great moment when I practiced how to be a digital (and a bit traditional) artist in deviantArt world.
Time went by until today....
Everybody is getting disappeared one by one.
Some of them quit drawing...
Some of them is busy on their career, or with somebody...
Everybody grows up...
Everybody goes their own ways.
Not only themselves, but also myself. I have jobs to do at the office, but...
...I can't quit drawing....
These days, I still keep on drawing and post the finished works on the same old art community site, but It's not the same anymore. There is "0 comment" everyday. At least some "Add Favorites" I've got can makes me so happy.
My inspiration to draw or to write fiction is sometime die when there is nobody see or read it. :(
While there is nobody comment my artworks, there is some group of people share...not share..."grab" my artworks to post on somewhere outside deviantArt by saying nothing. The place where I always seen my artworks taken away is "Facebook".
At the beginning, I allowed them to share my artworks if there is a "watermark" on them, because I considered that it's automatically credits to me.
Unfortunately,...that incident is happened to me...
when somebody took some of my artwork "with watermark" (also the other artworks of artists I know) to printed on a mug and "sell them online".
I must say that I really don't want to have a drama with the other, but I must claim rights on my artworks and the others'. I asked them to take a mug with my artwork and the others' one off.
After a couple attempts, they has took them off without any argument....*phew*..I'm so relieved. ^^;
To prevent that incident again, I put these two phases along with my artworks.
"Reuploading is NOT ALLOWED" and "Commercial use is NOT ALLOWED"

As you can see in this one...at the bottom right. ;) |
"Reuploading is NOT ALLOWED" means saving my artworks in my DA site or my FB page to your devices and post them to the other places IS NOT ALLOWED...
....unless you ASK ME FIRST if you really want to share it or clicking "Share" on the artworks in my FB page. ;) Although it sounds unkind, I really kind to you when you ask me about my artworks. :)
And the second one, "Commercial use is NOT ALLOWED".
It's mean you must not use my artworks in commercial way to earns your profit for free! For the example I had mention, use them on the commercial mugs.
I feel a bit fed up when somebody in Facebook shares fan arts of the artists just because it's nice, beautiful, cool, or something else. But they don't respect the original artists by giving them credits or telling who really made that artwork. They keep on sharing like that from people to people then to me. When I want to share and giving the original artist credit, I can't find the name of him or her. :(
I heard somebody said that ...
"Who care? That frickkin' credit can't be eaten. It can't use as a dime. So, why the heck I must give them the credit?"
or "Although I don't give them credit, at least I had promoted their artworks! Problem?"
or "You keep the heck on telling me to give you credit! Why are you so ungenerous?! Why are so possessive on your artworks?!! "
Those really get me and the other artists on nerves! These are totally trolling excuses.
Well, When you borrow something like book, Do you tell the others the book you had borrowed is yours or the other people's? It's actually a manner. So, giving credit to the original artist is very important.
This is it. I won't stop drawing anyway. I still keep on doing my best. :P
See you soon...
